XCP PressGuard - Corrosion Protection Fluid for the Printing Press

Target Metals

XCP™ Pressguard is specially formulated to protect against corrosion and maintain all the major metals found in today's highly developed printing presses:

  • Grey Cast Iron (DIN 1691)
  • Steel 100 Cr6 GKZ (DIN 17230)
  • Steel ST37 (DIN 10130)
  • Steel X20 Cr13
  • Copper (E-Cu)
  • Brass (CuZn30Pb3)
  • Nickel (DIN 17740 & 17750)

Application

  • Apply a liberal even coating using a trigger spray, clean wiper or brush to adequately cover the
    metal surfaces requiring protection.
  • In the case of printing cylinders where underpacking foils are used, allow to dry for at least
    10 minutes, before wiping down the cylinder with a clean wiper and applying the underpacking foil.
  • To ensure optimum protection, daily to weekly application is recommended as part of ongoing
    press maintenance, as is the use of corrosion approved press chemistry.
  • Should not be applied to printing plates, rubber or plastic surfaces and must not be used
    as a substitute for press lubricants.
